Ramblings


This is a big moment for me. A return to deviant art! It is much more than 'just' that however. It is a new venture back into the art communities. A world I haven't existed in for some time.

Some may have known me as 'The-Anime-Dude' previously:

Here I am, sometime on. It's been some 3 years since I've placed any art upon the pages of this site - many times have I meant to return, but not entirely got around to it. I left behind many friends who inspired and encouraged me, and I hope I may rekindle some of the great friendships I had here, and make new ones!

Yes indeed! Thank you! It is good to be back, after a very, VERY long sabbatical. I thought it would be great to rekindle old friendships. I certainly miss having the friendships I made here. It feels good to return! How have you been?

Your welcome! It's really excellent! Tend not to see a tonne of animation around here, it's great to see something of such quality! A friend was browsing using my account and I was looking over her shoulder. I saw the little thumbnail, and was like "oh, oh! click!", "where?!", "up a bit..up..yup..nope, down, yup!" =p It popped right out at me! Must be my animation radar. ;)

Are you self taught, or did you study? I'm currently in my last year of an animation degree and MAI in Scotland. I should really post up more work here, including animation! You have impressive skills my friend! Thanks for sharing it!

Thanks for the great words!
I'm mostly self taught. I did go to work at an animation studio when I was 18, so I had the opportunity to learn a lot about the different disciplines that go into making a film.

Your more than welcome! Sounds quite impressive! That's excellent you got to get some experience in a studio to begin with, I've been considerably lucky in that sense also having met a couple of professionals that have assisted me greatly. It helps a lot with the learning process.

I'll have a look around your portfolio more soon. I feel somewhat motivated to get some work up here!

Hiya!
I am also attempting to make a return to this site.
For the past 2 years I've only had intermittent internet, and not much spare time. But I've just had to move back home for the time being, so I have 7 day internet and lots of spare time, so I'm optimistic things can get back to how they used to be. :hug:
